Our first stop of the day was around Bond Street. We walked past the high end stores, but didn’t buy anything because everything was overpriced. Down the street we popped into the H&M, a store I like to visit in different regions to compare the different fashion trends. The one here in London has a different twist. I bought myself a belt and a pair of leather boots.
After shopping, we headed around the corner to Sketch the tea room. This place is a fancy tea house with funky pictures, a colorful bathroom and pink decor. Each of us chose our own tea, and we got nonalcoholic raspberrry “blubbly.” We then received comté cheese Norway in a small glass dish in the shape of a cracked egg. Next on the menu was oscietra caviar. This was a first for all of us. It was a bit salty and it had a fishy taste as well. We drank tea and they brought us a platter of sandwiches and small desserts. They each were quite tasty.
After our sumptuous tea experience we walked a block to a building covered in flowers.
We then headed to the tourist sites near the center of London including Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, the London Eye, and Piccadilly Circus.
After taking is some of the sights, we ate dinner at Wagamama, a Japanese and Asian fusion restaurant recommended to us by our host. It was really good! After eating dinner we headed to Camden Market, where we thought a cereal shop was open, but when we arrived it was already closed- we called it a night.
