As every day has started, we got some coffee and headed out for our day. Today we had to make a quick shop at the local printing shop to have our tickets for the Louvre printed for us. Our reserved time slot was 12pm. We spent about 3 or 4 hours in the museum.
We were able to see works of art ranging from the Egyptian period, the Roman Era, and up to the Renaissance Period.
Of course, the painting with the most attention was the Mona Lisa. It took us about 15 minutes to get close enough to take pictures and view it at a close distance. I would say there were about 200 to 250 people in this room alone.
After the Louvre, we ate a late lunch at a falafel place in more of a Jewish neighborhood. My falafel was called the meat cocktail, basically a mixture of lamb, pork, beef, etc. It was very flavorful.
After lunch, we headed back to the apartment to rest for a bit before heading to the Eiffel Tower again to try to see it before sunset. We took a bit longer than we expected, so when we arrived it was dark. However, we were able to see it sparkle once more. After spending a bit of time near the Eiffel Tower, we found the closest place to buy gelato before heading back to the apartment. This place also put a macaron on top for presentation.
